Without further ado, we present our ode to the great franchise from that galaxy far, far away…

By Prof. Jason (Resident KF Star Wars Aficionado)

‘Twas the night before Star Wars, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a Rankor.

The stockings were hung, but they didn’t really care,

For they knew the real gift, comes 8 days early this year.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of Boba Fett danced in their heads;

And mama in her snuggie, and I in my CPAP,

Had just settled down for a long Sarlacc nap.

When out from my phone there arose such a clatter,

I rolled over in bed to see what was the matter.

My passcode I entered, so simple and curt,

Read the notifications and clicked the alert.

Dimming the screen, to adjust for my eyes

A calendar reminder I often despise,

But this simple email for tomorrow’s plan

Presented a schedule that was quite rare and grand.

The Force Awakens, at the local IMAX,

With big cushy chairs to sit back and relax.

A primetime showing, on the very first night,

Of a brand new adventure that is sure to delight.

More rapid than tauntauns, my mem’ries flood back,

Of Jedis returning, and Clones that attack.

A far away galaxy and characters with flare

Shout their names from the roof, like you just don’t care:

Now, WINDU! Now YODA! Now LEIA and SOLO!

So In JJ we trust! Kathleen Kennedy too!

Enjoy the movie and May the Force Be With You!
